Wet felting workshop. Spend a few hours ‘painting with wool’ and create a beautiful seascape picture ready for framing or to give as a gift.
This workshop is an excellent introduction to the medium of wet felting. You will learn not only how to lay out the wool and felt it, but also how to use different types of wool, yarn and plant fibres to create texture and detail. Karen will discuss the use of colour and layers to create depth in your picture and and how needle felting and free machine embroidery can be used to finish to your artwork. Then using just soap and water you will felt all the fibres together to create your final picture. Your finished picture will measure approximately 25x25cm.
This workshop is suitable for those who are complete beginners in wet felting. All materials are provided, all you need to bring are 2 hand towels and a suitable bag for taking your damp picture home in.
